Insurance can be tricky and, if you're like me, somewhat of a foreign language. These ads are TV spots showing some sports made easy, which aren't any fun without a challenge. In the case of insurance, challenge free is how it should be, so, MetLife is bringing a challenge free game of insurance to its customers.
The scene takes place at a golf tournament. The camera is zoomed in on a nervous golfer getting ready to put the ball. He puts it, the camera follows the ball as it rolls slowly towards the hole. The camera pans out to show a hole 100 times too big for a golf ball. The golfer proceeds to let out a "Yes!" while the crowd is silent. A voice over comes on and says, "Some things in life should be a challenge, insurance shouldn't be one of them." A screen then appears directing viewers to a website along with a telephone number to get their life insurance quote today.
The scene takes place at a basketball game. There's 5 seconds left on the clock and they are down by 1. Number 12 has the ball, the camera is on him. He dribbles, spins, and goes up for the shot. As the camera pans out you see the ball swish through a hoop three times as big as a normal hoop at the buzzer. Number 12 starts cheering with a silent crowd and team in the background. A voice over then comes on and says, "Some things in life should be a challenge, insurance shouldn't be one of them." A screen then appears directing viewers to a website along with a telephone number to get their life insurance quote today.
The scene takes place in a bowling alley. A husband and wife with their 2 kids are out as a family for the night. The camera zooms in on the fathers face as he walks through and delivers the ball. The camera pans out to see a massive bowling ball rolling towards the pins for a strike. The dad jumps up and down as he runs over to give his kids a high five. They look at him with blank expressions on their faces, as if saying, "big deal dad." A voice over then comes on and says, "Some things in life should be a challenge, insurance shouldn't be one of them." A screen then appears directing viewers to a website along with a telephone number to get their life insurance quote today.
